This is sort of an annoying problem I have in my new computer: every time I try to boot the computer, after grub menu the screen switches off for a second and the computer restarts, making it impossible to even reach the login prompt. This even happened with the installer (I tried different distros from live USB' s and didn't had this problem, so maybe it is a bug from the newer free AMD GPU driver?). Anyway, I have an Nvidia GT730 card, and after installing it on my motherboard the computer started with no problems (this is how I managed to install Arch). The problem is that this Nvidia card is defective and after a couple of hours of usage it hard freezes the computer, so letting it installed is not an ideal option. (yes, my PSU is powerful enough: It does that in all computers I tested it on).
I did notice though that when this happens, next time I boot it takes a bit longer as it seems that systemd does a quick check of the hard drive. When that happens, if I had removed the Nvidia card it will usually boot no probs with my AMD. It might be some sort of problem between my VGA monitor and the newish AMD GPU... In any case as for now the only way I have of getting a stable system is to boot with the Nvidia card, play videogames till it freezes, and then restart without the card... That gets a bit old fast, specially if the Nvidia card decides to take longer into freezing my system.
I do remember seeing in older BIOS that there was an option to delay boot to let VGA monitors to catch up, but I don' t have such option on my BIOS... but there must be a way of doing it by passing Grub parameters. Anyone knows how to do it? Or why this happens? Maybe that would fix the problem if the monitor can catch up with the GPU.
I did try to boot with no monitor plugged in though, and actually I had the same problem... the computer would keep restarting, so the last one is just a theory.

Have you tried adding kernel parameters that are related to the graphic device? Other then knowing that there are such parameters, I can not name them. I hardly use them.
Have you tried an older arch installer? It might run a similar kernel like the distros that manage to boot your machine.

You could try adding nomodeset to your kernel parameters line and see if the machine boots with only the AMD card. If it does boot you want to get the full dmesg output and also the output of 'lspci -nnk' and then post it here for people to have an idea of what hardware you are using. Don't forget to use code tags when you post the outputs of dmesg and lspci.
Don't expect to have a working X session when using nomodeset, the command line is your new best friend.

Ok, I managed to get hold of a VDI to HDMI adaptor and try it instead of VGA.... and the results where the same, it keeps rebooting! After half an hour or so It managed to go to the login prompt, but the USB was not working (lucky my keyboard is PS2)
I tried to add nomodeset to the Kernel parameters, and it boots no problem. As noted no X, so I am posting this from a text web browser.
Sorry to tell that I am not familiar with what code tags are: I remember from my Gentoo days that there was a way to upload the prompt of dmesg and lspci, but I can't remember or find how to do it. The prompt of lspci says that my GPU is an Radeon Richland HD8670D.
from dmesg I can conclude that it loads the "radeon" driver and those lines:
[drm] VGACON disable radeon kernel modesetting
[drm:radeon_init [radeon]] *ERROR* No UMS support in radeon module!

No, sadly I can't get hold of old images...
You want to get the full dmesg from a previous boot where it failed to boot and automatically rebooted, journalctl can do that for you. What you can also do is get all the logs and outputs you need and redirect them to files (on the HD or a flash drive), then from another computer or from that one running an X session you can use a different browser to post the results.

It has been now <~20 boots without the problem. Also gone with the monitor displaying an annoying "Out of sync" message every time an application was started fullscreen with a different resolution than native one. To be honest I am not sure how it was fixed, as the only thing that changed was that I installed virt-manager. There was a Kernel update and drivers, but I stopped getting random reboots even before updating them....
I hope it stays this way!
