chromium crashed with profile error

Hello, guys!

Chromium froze the system (Xfce) completely. I had to manually reboot. Upon reboot I opened chromium and got this message:

"Something went wrong when opening your profile. Some features may be unavailable."

I have no login user names, no passwords, no extensions. As if I have just installed it and it asks to make it default browser.
Any ideas of how to recover?

Thank you!

p.s. I've just found out that the bookmarks are still there.

Re: chromium crashed with profile error

delete chromium profile:

rm -rf $HOME/.config/chromium

Note that it will completely reset chromium, including the bookmarks. If chromium somehow works, you can backup the bookmarks. Exit chromium, remove the config directory and reinclude them.
