So as the title says unity 3d is crashing when I update it, everything else is up to date. I tried posting here all I could get was it looked like a driver crash. Is there anyway for me to debug this farther?

Your system uses an integrated intel videocard.
For those cards X has 2 options :
1) with xf86-video-intel installed X will use KMS intel
2) without xf86-video-intel installed X will use KMS modesetting\
Test with both to see if there's a difference.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

I get the same result with both those and rebooting in between testing.

I just realised this program is not in official repos, but in aur.
Are you using unity-editor, unity-editor-beta or unity-editor-bin ?
All 3 were updated recently, are you using the latest PKGBUILD version ?
Incase you're using none of those 3, please explain how you build/installed it.

[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99781
There's also a giant kwin bug thread where this is caused from glXCreateContextAttribsARB, so you might want to find the resp. code in unity-editor and usleep a bit there ;-)
Online
Seth would you mind explaining that more? If you are talking about editing the source code to include usleep I can't I don't pay that much for it.

Yes, sorry. I just assumed "unity-editor" would be sources since there's also "unity-editor-bin".
The alernative would be to do what's suggested in the linked bug and LD_PRELOAD a shared object which shadows the relevant function (unfortunately the code for your backtrace is stripped, so you can only guess which that would be...)

I just thought of trying valgrind and gdb and I got some output I don't know if it will help. Both of them crash at the project selcetion screen which is sooner than than before but it turns to a all white window like it was after the editor opened the project. Also I don't really understand what to try and do I never really had to debug programs if you could give me the for "dummys" version that would help. Thanks.

You need to run "bt" in gdb to get anything, but the problem is that this will look like

This is however unity-editor-beta - in contrast to your claim in comment #5
a) what's the output of "uname -a" and "pacman -Qs unity"
b) does it happen with the stable version as well?

Same backtrace.
glXCreateContextAttribsARB is however defined in libGL.so, which is not invoked in those backtraces - so it's likely not this function.
In order to get a somewhat usable backtrace, you'll have to install a debug enabled version of mesa (ie. compile it yourself, since arch binaries are stripped and there's no -dbg package either)
"export LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose" *might* provide additional knowledge w/o having to recompile MESA ...
