Hello guys,
I've installed fingerprint-gui for my sensor and I've also configured my fingerprints on it. But when it comes to configure GDM to authenticate, I'm having trouble.
The official documentation for fingerprint-gui suggest configuring /etc/pam.d/gdm, but gdm3 have a lot of pam files and I've already tryed configuring all of them to allow fingerprint-gui to work, but it doesn't seem to work.
Do I have to make any specific configuration on GDM to allow that?
Thanks!

Hi rogervn
I'm on arch from a 3 weeks ago.
I had fingerprint-gui working on ubuntu 16.04 very well.(with limitation for first login due to I have my user's folder encrypted))
I'm using arch from almost a month.
In my case
Fingerprint-gui is working fine for:
- using in terminal with sudo
- unlock administrative operations through policy-kit dialog(is neccesary use accept button or intro key after fingerprint input)
Is working with some issues:
- GDM for unlock a running sesion.
Is not working for:
- First login(but in my case this is due to I have my user's folder encrypted)
I mixed this two resources:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fprint
and
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fingerprint-gui
for my configuration what I did was.
edit /etc/pam.d/system-local-login but puting inside "pam_fingerprint-gui.so" and not "pam_fprintd.so" and the same for "/etc/pam.d/sudo" and "/etc/pam.d/su" and "/etc/pam.d/polkit-1" files.
The bit issue with "GDM for unlock a running sesion." is that after fingerprint input is necessary write any character in order to login button change to enable or simply let me use intro key, and then my session is unlocked.
My hardware is ID 147e:2020 Upek TouchChip Fingerprint Coprocessor (WBF advanced mode) in a Thinkpad X230
Please be sure make backup for any config files before edit.
If you need additional support for this, please let me know.
