Alsa - Ogle - SPDIF

Hi AF.

I bought a new board - Gigabyte GA-K8N-Pro-SLI
and build a machine with Myth tv.

But I not able to get SPDIF to work so that I can use the amazing sound in surround.

Can Anybody tell me how to configure - so that the machine use SPDIF as default sound. I only able to get the normal stereo output. But many DVD has a digital sound - and would really like to cennect to my surround amp?
