Suspend and Hibernate problem (Dell Laptop)

Hi,

When I my laptop is connected to the charger and if I suspend it, it has no problem to start again.
But when it is on battery and if I suspend or hibernate it, it does not starts. Instead it restarts.

Did anyone have similar problems? Any solutions?

Hi, it happens to my Dell from time to time, usually when I install a new linux distribution on it, and sometimes (more rarely) by updating my kernel.
I really don't know why but usually flashing the bios solves the problem (updating it or reflashing the same).
