Let programs think that they always have focus (under gnome/X Server)

Hi community,
Some programs that are running in fullscreen minimize themselves when they lose focus. This is especially true for flash applications but also for certain 3D Games and can be very annoying.
I thought that a simple workaround could be not to send a blur/unfocus event to these programs. Is that somehow possible and if so how?

I'm using X Window and gnome.

Thanks in advance

Not realistically* but this is an xy problem - you want to stop whatever steals the focus from doing so.

* it's possible to suppress FocusOut events by either patching the xorg server implementation or running X over tcp and manipulate the packages.
Both violate the X11 protocol and neither is a good idea - or trivial.

Well, actually I have multiple monitors. No program is stealing the focus. I am. By opening another window on a second monitor.
As nobody seems to have an idea I accept that there is no realistic solution.
However this is definitely a feature I'm missing in the display server. Maybe I ask the free desktop team...

Several window managers allow to control focus flow in this area (keep the focus w/ a certain window, do not initially pass it to another; by default or by patterns) - I'm not sure whether gnome has such, but this is *definitively* no concern of the display server, but the window manager.
