sound-juicer, xsane

hello, after a pacman -Syu and gftp program install i have 2 programs that were running perfectly that don't work anymore. I re-install these programs without luck
I have a message with sound-juicer:
"could not start sound juicer, reason cannot find any suitable encoders"
(that program was working perfectly yesterday)
and I have Xsane not starting at all
I didn't check the update done by pacman,  but is it possible to have that kind of behaviour
sorry for my ignorance

Re: sound-juicer, xsane

no idea about sound juicer but was one of the packages upgraded your kernel per chance?

do you have a usb scanner? if you try and launch these applications from a terminal what errors do you get?

if you run sane-find-scanner as root and user what is the output?

etc.

Re: sound-juicer, xsane

you problem with sound-juicer might be should be running gst-register.

the thingie with sane, try rebuilding. the reason is because i updated the libusb libs.

if one of these works please submit a bug report.
