My GDM can't load any Wayland session (tested with GNOME Wayland, Weston and Sway). When selecting one of these and logging in, I get the login screen again. This doesn't happen with SDDM, which loads them correctly. Obviously everything works with xorg, and the system is fully updated.
Video card is the integrated one with Intel Skylake.

Same issue for me. I have Nvidia blob, but when I select Wayland, it takes a while, but logs me in. Checking the session shows that it's actually an X11 session .

No, the issue is different here. The session just doesn't start. It automatically gets back to GDM.

If using the nvidia blob you need to enable KMS https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … de_setting
on gdm you need to make sure /etc/gdm/custom.conf has WaylandEnable=True
but be warned you will probably fall into this https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/53284, i have a multimonitor setup, i have to turn off my 4k main display for it to have a chance to work and when it does it's slow as fuck
i must say i had expectations for it working this time, but as usual, lets give it another decade
EDIT: added bug

I'm actually not on NVidia, I'm on Intel.
$ lspci | egrep 'VGA|3D'
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 520 (rev 07)
01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK208M [GeForce 920M] (rev a1)
I actually have an NVidia card, but it is used with primus, only with e. g. games. The main one is the Intel.
