Re: Wi-Fi Problem

I'm facing a similar issue with my WiFi setup. I've Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter on my Arch 4.10.11-1-ARCH system.

My WiFi connects to one of the access points and after sometime I can see a complete packet drop. There are no messages in the dmesg or journalctl logs. Currently, using netctl and wifi-menu to configure the network profiles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wi-Fi Problem

Maybe share the scan results from iw or iwlist. If your APs support 11ac, try to disable it there (i don't see an option for the ath10k module itr)

Re: Wi-Fi Problem

"boring" :-(

The "invisible" AP is the same model?
Does it maybe run on 5GHz (exclusively)?
Does it turn visible if you get entirely out of the visibles AP range resp. turn that off (depending on the setup, turn the other one to master)?
Does things work as usual w/ the lts kernel? Can you dump a scan of both APs with that kernel?

ffwi: -44dBm is not *that* bad - unless you moved next to it for the scan: you're sure this is the far master (since they have the same BSSID - can you btw. alter that?)?
