Hi,
I find it's a very good idea to offer the Arch CD to support the project financially.
First I think it would be nice, if we had some direct donation oppertunity on the shopping site, like this third party shop ("Spende" means donation - has nothing to do with me, only an example)
One question which I had, concerns the free worldwide shipping, I tried it directly on osdiscs.com and the shipping costs to Germany were almost 3$ and the price at osdisc.com was 2.95$, so I wonder how archlinux can make money with only 5$?

It's not necessarily about making money, but being able to offer it to users at a reasonable price.
Also, keep in mind that if you multiply $5 with, say, 1000, you suddenly have $5000, which is enough to cover expenses for a given period. So $5 isn't that bad in the long run.
Atleast, that's what I think.
