Hi,
I've updated my system in a VM most recently and vmhgfs-fuse stopped working. The error is:
vmhgfs-fuse: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
There is probably no workaround and I need to file a bug ticket? Or do I miss something?
Best,
Michael

This is related to the other openssl problems, but it does seem this is a legitimate bug, not just a partial upgrade (due to a mirror or otherwise).
open-vm-tools does link to openssl and has neither been rebuilt nor has it been repackaged to include openssl-1.0 as a dependency. This is a packaging bug that should be reported (if it hasn't been already - there is a new version already in community-staging).
ridiculy, there is, however, a trivial workaround: install openssl-1.0
