I have one of the newer generation XPS 13 (9360) laptops, running kernel 4.10.11-1 and systemd 232.
I've been using the suspend-to-hibernate service for a quite a while, working perfectly.
However, the last two times I've suspended (normally via hitting the "pause" button from Gnome), the battery has been dead when I try to power the laptop back on the next day.
Here's the journal log of what happened -- it looks perfectly normal to me.
system suspended at 17:14:43 when i hit the button.
Apr 25 17:14:43 oberon systemd-sleep[26877]: Suspending system...
Apr 25 17:14:43 oberon sh[26800]: alarm set for 1493158483
Then the next entries are ~1 hour later, after the alarm fires, and the last message is:
Apr 25 18:14:52 oberon kernel: PM: Hibernation mode set to 'platform'
Apr 25 18:14:52 oberon systemd-sleep[27161]: Suspending system...
after some NetworkManager noise.
Can anyone shed some light or give me pointers on what else to look at? It's possible this is related to a recent kernel upgrade, since I don't think systemd has updated recently.
