Sorry, forgot to say that sometimes, when i logout from xfce and then relog, i lose some of my panel's stuff: xfce menu, Network monitor, Volume control, Orage clock, System load. I do not lose launchers.
This happens randomly, i don't know what else may i say to help... i guess it's xfce's panel fault, not shadowhand.
And a final question: what about mount-plugin?

I noticed that gaim isn't playing sounds anymore. Instead it was beeping. I looked at the settings, it only has console beep, command, or no sounds. It was working in the last package.

I'm getting some weird problems with xfce menu. I doesn't show kde apps anymore, and xfce-menuedit isn't working properly. It runs well, but when modifying something it crashes and leaves the menu unaccesible (it lets an empty menu.xml file, which needs to me removed to make menu work again).
I tryed reinstalling every kde stuff i have installed, the xfdesktop-svn package and deleting all the xfce4 config dir with no luck, i'm still getting no kde apps listed. I guess it happened with the last upgrade.
Xfce is taking also much longer to load. I noticed it hangs a while when loading xfce4-iconbox. Weird, because i don't have it installed.

I'm currently getting a shared library error as well (when running <code>startx</code>):
/opt/xfce4/bin/xfce4-session: error while loading shared libraries: libxfsm-4.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryAny thoughts?

No ideas on this one? I tried rolling back to the last release of xfce4-session-svn, with no luck. Am I missing a library or something?

Do you have /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0 on your system? You could try rebuilding xfce4-session (or is it xfce4-session-svn ?). BTW, I don't use xfce4-svn.

$ ls /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm*
/opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.a /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0@
/opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so@ /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0.0.1Yep, I tried removing the package completely and reinstalling. I also tried just downgrading the package to what it was before. Neither worked...

Why has libxfsm-4.2.so.0 an @ behind? Mine looks so:
[root@myhost martin]# ls /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm*
/opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.a /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0
/opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0.0.1I suggest to remove xfce4-session-svn, then rm /opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm* and then reinstall it.

It's a symbolic link...I have my <code>ls</code> command aliased to do <code>ls -p</code>. It links to <code>/opt/xfce4/lib/libxfsm-4.2.so.0.0.1</code> which is there as it should be.

Not at all matey...
I'm still stuck on this unfortunately. I tried removing the package, removing the files by hand, clearing my package cache to make sure it wasn't corrupted, and I still get the same error. I've been X-less for a week now...YARRR! Anyone else have any thoughts?

Get the PKGBUILD for xfce4-session (or whatever it is called) and rebuild it. :?

Just upgraded all the xfce-svn stuff. Try new packages and see if it helps.

It seems thunar uses GConf now, a move which makes me wanna stab people in the face. My glorious gnome-free GTK based setup is now facing extinction!
remus ~$ thunar
thunar: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
remus ~$ sudo pacman -S gconf
Targets: libxslt-1.1.15-1 docbook-xsl-1.69.1-1 scrollkeeper-0.3.14-4
gnome-common-2.12.0-4 orbit2-2.14.0-1 gconf-2.14.0-1
Total Package Size: 3.5 MB
Proceed with upgrade? [Y/n] nOffline
Okay, I'm gonna have to add a "WTF" of my own to that...

Nah, it just accidentally got sucked in. (Thunar can use gconf for video thumbnails or something worthless like that.) I'm sure shadowhand will fix 'er right up.

I'm not so sure man, I got the PKGBUILD that shadowhand uses from his site, and tried building it myself. Same problem. Worse is, I didn't find any configure switches to turn off the damn thing.

There is the switch --disable-gconf AFAIK.
And if this doesn't work, it is a bug that should be reported.

I believe it's actually --disable-gnome-thumbnails

shadowhand: FYI, limewire is now in the community repo. Gimpshop has been in community for a while, I think I already mentionned it somewhere. Perhaps you should removed them from your repo to not have duplicate packages (unless you compile gimpshop with different configure options :? ).
Somewhat OT: Someone has reported that limewire wasn't "compatible with xgl/compiz". I haven't asked for more details yet. As both were in shadowhand's repo, I would appreciate if someone could confirm/unconfirm that (as I don't use xgl/compiz
).

I'm having this same problem. Were you able to resolve the issue?

Just upgraded all the xfce-svn stuff. Try new packages and see if it helps.
I see a lot of xfce4-svn packages in your repo that are newer than the ones I have installed here, so I moved the Shadowhand repo to the top of the repo list in pacman.conf (for some reason I never did that before).
Now, doing a
pacman -Syusees a corrupt fixesproto-4.0-1.pkg.tar.gz, but still sees no new xfce4 files to grab. Is there something else I need to do that get pacman to see all those new files in the repo?
For instance,
pacman -Qs xfce4-panel-svnyields
local/xfce4-panel-svn 21587-1but the xfce4-panel-svn I see in the Shadowhand repo is 22007-1.
