I just got a RX570 two days ago and I'm trying to get the drivers to work up to par. Right now i'm lucky if I get more than 30fps in most games on medium settings. I hear there are fixes in mesa-git for this so I'm trying to get that going.
I added the LH-mesa-git-repo repository and installed mesa-git and amdgpu-git from the repository. I rebooted just to make sure everything was unloaded and reloaded.
When I try to start steam now I get the following error.
GLXChoose visual failed
When I run glxinfo I get another error.
$ glxinfo
name of display: :0
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm guessing you had stock mesa installed before ?
If so, you picked a bad time to switch.
Stock mesa switched to libglvnd not long ago but neither LH mesa-git repo nor my AUR mesa-git have made that switch
(the patches needed for libglvnd didn't play nice with mesa git master) .
Mesa 17.1 (just released) should have most what is needed for glvnd now, so both mesa-git alternatives may get glvnd support soon.
If you want to to try to get things working now, replace libglvnd with mesa-liblgl-git .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)

I just did a quick search for mesa-libgl-git and it doesn't appear to exist?

It was replaced by libglvnd in official repos, but is still present in Lord Heavy's unofficial repo.
If you have that repo configured in pacman.conf , pacman -Ss should find it.

I find these in your repo that did the trick.
mesa-git/lib32-mesa-libgl-git 91771.ccf9669cc1-1 (mesagit) [installed]
mesa-git/mesa-libgl-git 91771.ccf9669cc1-1 (mesagit) [installed]
Getting much better performance now, although not what I would expect still. I'm sure things will improve with time.Thanks for the help.

Dont forget to get the latest kernel you can get. I noticed quite a big leap in performance when going from 4.10 to 4.11 with my RX 470.
