[SOLVED] whois error: "connect: Network is unreachable"
I am behind an http-only proxy, but I have a stable internet connection, and everything else connects. The 'whois' command gives this error though; why might this be?

The whois command uses the WHOIS protocol and not http and it cannot use a http proxy for that.
