Hello guys, i have laptop with GTX 860M and intel graphic card. I recently installed arch linux with xfce desktop and GRUB. I feel very uncomfortable when staring laptop, there are tons of error codes, i dont really understand it. Here is output of sudo pacman -Q: https://jsfiddle.net/7g83pytg/

I would really appreciate if you give me some tips.. i guess i have some issues with gpu because i have two GPU's and there are fast battery drain and i guess i need bumblebee but i dont really know for what exactly. So some tips about arch and my laptop would be highly appreciated.

Welcome to Arch Linux.  Be advised that we ask that you not post large images in support threads.

I took the liberty of converting your images to url links.
Thanks

Re: Hardware problem

I would start here[1] and see if that helps with the mce errors. For the nvidia gpu look here[2]. For now I would ignore the acpi errors as almost everyone seems to have those and they should not be the cause of any problems. The error about ideapad_laptop I have no Idea: use google. Also make sure you update the bios/firmware of your laptop to the latest available as those can contain important fixes.

Re: Hardware problem

See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=226245 for the MCE please post text not images of text and you might want to make your title more meaningful.
Edit:
About the ACPI error see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p1698882

Re: Hardware problem

Thanks for tips. MCE errors disappeared, im ignoring ACPI errors as R00KIE said. But i have no idea what ideapad_laptop" timeout in read_ec_cmd  means. I googled it but it turns out that only wifi and bluetooth problems are related to this error. My wifi and bluetooth is working perfectly.

Re: Hardware problem

Welcome to Arch. As loqs mentioned, you will get better help if you edit your topic title and make it more specific.

How did you install Arch?

Re: Hardware problem

Just a quick word of encouragement.

I also use XFCE and have a Nvidia Gpu. If you follow the wiki articles linked to above, getting BumbleBee to work in Arch is a breeze.

Having a laptop, the ability to selectively turn the GPU on and off on a per application basis without the need to reboot is very important to me.  When I moved from Windows 10 to Ubuntu, I had nothing but problems with BumbleBee, and never got it to work. It was the ease with which I got Bumblebee working in Arch along with how easily various other technical issues which are problematic in Ubuntu were implemented that convinced me that, despite being a relative novice with Linux, Arch was definitely my distro of choice.

Also, WRT to microcode, you need to edit/check or otherwise append

initrd	/intel-ucode.img /initramfs-linux.img

to grub
Details are in the article linked to above

If everything seems to work fine (after you setup BumbleBee) then ignore it, as it might be a harmless error.
