Hello,
Recently did a system upgrade and noticed I was no longer not getting the search directive in my /etc/resolv.conf. In my logs for NetworkManager, it clearly identifies the option passed from my router from looking at the logs of NetworkManager. I downgraded from networkmanager-1.8rc3+10+gddd6f94ab-1-x86_64 to networkmanager-1.6.2-3-x86_64. NetworkManager now properly passes the proper options to resolvconf and my /etc/resolv.conf now has the search directive with the proper value. Looking at https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/NetworkManager 1.6.2 is listed as stable. Curious as to why a release candidate got put into the extra repo?

Yeah this seems weird.
The only info I can find about the problem relates to systemd-resolved, but it's not enabled on my system.
I downgraded to the same version as you, and the search directive is back in /etc/resolve.conf.
Kind regards, enrique

Same to me. NM 1.8 ignore the "domain" option that DHCP give to him.
It seem like a bug...
