[Solved] How to have Gnome panel change color when fullscreen?

Hi, I'm a noob switching to Arch from Elementary OS and loving it thus far.  The only thing I haven't been able to figure out how to do is a little graphical feature in the elementary gnome theme - the panel was translucent normally, but once an app became full screen the panel would switch to a plain black.  I've looked over theme config files trying to find some sort of option to enable this behavior but have been unsuccessful so far.  Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
