Hey everyone,
I want to build my Arch Desktop with openbox still in the Oracle VM VirtualBox.
I can start my Arch Linux System without any issues and Openbox starts automaticly after login too.
But when i open vim in a Terminal Window for example rxvt-unicode or xterm the command line of vim shows no : commands and i can not leave vim with :q, :qw or :q! .
and i dont know why
thank you in advance!

Your configuration is very similar to mine... But I don't have that issue in Vim.
Does Vim have that issue in another window manager? For example, running Vim in xterm in twm (xorg-twm)?
Are you using SCIM, or any IME to change language input?
Does the colon key ":" work in xterm, without running Vim?

when i use the gnome-terminal or the xterm the i have the same issues
but when i close openbox and type in the normal arch shell vim works perfectly
and i don't use SCIM

What keyboard layout do you use in X?
Does Vim work correctly if you use the "us" layout?
