[Solved] Errors when building ruby 2.3.3 with rbenv

Hello,
I'm trying to install ruby 2.3.3 with rbenv to keep working on a project I started some times ago.
To achieve this, I installed rbenv and ruby-build from AUR but my first attempt to build ruby 2.3.3 ended in failure.

After a research on the forum, I found 2 threads talking about issues with rbenv :

I tried the solutions of both topics but none worked.

Here are the logs after specifying the readline directory :

$ RUBY_CONFIGURE_OPTS=--with-readline-dir="/usr/lib/libreadline.so" rbenv install 2.3.3
/tmp/ruby-build.20170527053514.31374/ruby-2.3.3 /tmp/ruby-build.20170527053514.31374 ~

Warning:: cannot find Tk library. tcltklib will not be compiled (tcltklib is disabled on your Ruby. That is, Ruby/Tk will not work). Please check configure options.

Can't find proper Tcl/Tk libraries. So, can't make tcltklib.so which is required by Ruby/Tk.
If you have Tcl/Tk libraries on your environment, you may be able to use them with configure options (see ext/tk/README.tcltklib).
At present, Tcl/Tk8.6 is not supported. Although you can try to use Tcl/Tk8.6 with configure options, it will not work correctly. I recommend you to use Tcl/Tk8.5 or 8.4.

Failed to configure tk. It will not be installed.

Re: [Solved] Errors when building ruby 2.3.3 with rbenv

Here is the solution:
https://github.com/rbenv/ruby-build/wik … r-software

Ruby 2.3.x needs openssl 1.0 to be build, you can find it in extra.
After installing openssl 1.0, you have to specify the path to rbenv:

PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/openssl-1.0/pkgconfig rbenv install 2.3.3
