[SOLVED]BCM4322 netctl error

I am having trouble starting my profile with this interface (wlp36s0).

Try passing either "intel_iommu=off" XOR "iommu=soft" to the kernel parameters in grub.
If it's an AMD system, try "amd_iommu=off"

Did you also "grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg"? ("cat /proc/cmdline") - if not: don't.
Instead remove the bit from the defaults and instead append it to the kernel parameters when booting (select the entry and press "e" to edit the boot entry)

But it could really just be a problem with the particular module (turning off the HW iommu is related to your errors, but always some kind of voodoo "solution")

No I didnt grub mkconfig, I removed "amd_iommu=off" from my /etc/default/grub and passed it to the grub command line. Unfortunately this didnt solve the problem

I'm not quite sure I understand this, youre saying a module is turning iommu off? Isn't that what we were trying to do with "amd_iommu=off"?

"The problem might not be the iommu at all" - nommu_map_single just smells like a bad iommu, but the problem can be really somewhere entirely different.

There's btw. also https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=226203 - different WIFI but also ryzen.

Neither "iommu=off" or "iommu=soft" solved the problem

I didnt reinstall after my hardware change to ryzen, could this be causing this problem?

In reply to the other thread I am using a RTL8188CUS dongle fine with my ryzen, I am using the AUR 8188cu-dkms

Interesting, when I enter "amd_iommu=off" into the grub terminal on bootup (enter c when selecting OS)

[gi@localhost ~]$ cat /proc/cmdline

I had the same results when editing /etc/default/grub

When I edited /boot/grub/grub.cfg the command stuck and the wifi worked!

c gets you the commandline interface. if you just entered "amd_iommu=off" there and pressed enter, you'll just booted the currently selected entry.
press e to (temporarily) edit the selected entry.
