I am trying really hard to disable the gnome lock screen slider in order to directly promtp for my password after wake up from suspend. This seems like a rather silly question to me tough I couldnt manage to figure it out on my own.
I know that I can directly start to type in my password anyways however i can't find a way to directly start my fingerprint reader listening to input. So right now I always have to press ENTER or ESC in order to proceed to the gdm password prompt. Once there my fingerprint reader will start to listen for input and I can unlock my computer.
Another reason why I don't like the lock screen slider is that everytime that I restart my computer from suspend, the display shortly (about half a second) will show the previous desktop session before showing the lock screen slider. This behaviour is unacceptable in terms of security as any sensitive data shown in the last active session will be exposed to whomever turns on my computer - even if it is just for a short time ...
So far I only know how to completeley turn off the gnome lock screen however this is not what I want, as I want my laptop to be locked when suspending :-)
Running on Arch Linux up2date, obviously with gnome installed.
