Hi,
I'm giving Arch Linux a try. I downloaded the iso file and copied to a CDROM. I booted the CDROM and mount my root and home disk partitions.
So far, so good.
Then I tried running:
pacstrap /mnt base base-devel
as instructed.
The program ran, but foreach *.db file, I get the error message:
error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from arch.nimukaito.net: Could not resolve host: arch.nimukaito.net
I'm fairly experienced with Linux installation, but pacstrap is new to me.
I will start researching 'pacstrap' but can someone tell me how to get it working?
I almost forgot, when I ping www.google.com from the boot CDROM, my connection to google is made. But if I ping 'arch.nimukaito.net, ping failes.

Edit /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist to select a different mirror. arch.nimukaito.net seems to have disappeared.

I was getting: error: GPGME error : No data
Editing /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and commeting out host: arch.nimukaito.net worked for me
Glad somebody else reported this thought it was just me.

Very similar issue.
When I run pacstrap it has some errors:
systemd-machine-id-setup: error while loading shared libraries: libcryptsetup.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
The same messages for systemd-sysusers, journalctl, systemctl.
I've changed some repos (Canada, Germany, Ukraine) but the same errors are.
