HDMI output not detected by xrandr

I have a Lenovo y40-80, and xrandr has stopped being able to detect HDMI output to my monitor. When I plug/unplug the cable, my monitor responds by turning on the screen, but it shows that there is no signal.

Also, plugging and unplugging the cable while running

udevadm monitor

produces no output. This is possibly unrelated, but the last update to my Windows partition broke the Windows display driver, and I'm not able to connect to the monitor or adjust the screen brightness in Windows. Since I haven't used my monitor with Arch after updating Windows and before updating Arch,I can't rule out the possibility that it's a hardware problem, but the fact that the monitor responds to plugging/unplugging the cable suggests that it's not.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Re: HDMI output not detected by xrandr

I have exactly the same issue.

xrandr does not detect the monitor, no output with udevadm. It used to work though.

Re: HDMI output not detected by xrandr

Hmm, intel + AMD and intel + nividia .

Is xf86-video-intel installed ?
If yes, remove it and test.
If no, install it and test.

Did the problem start after an upgrade ?
xazax, are you using nvidia drivers or nouveau drivers ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
