[SOLVED] Using pacman gives error "error: segmentation fault"

Hello

I have stumbled into a problem with pacman. I have had examinations at school so I have not been doing anything with my Linux installation other than installing an update a week ago or so. Now when I try to update I get the error "error: segmentation fault". I really don't have a clue how to solve this. I have tried by rebuilding the cache with "pacman -Syy", but it gives the before-mentioned error.

I have provided the debug information when running pacman -Syu --debug below.

$ sudo pacman -Syu --debug

Re: [SOLVED] Using pacman gives error "error: segmentation fault"

Thank you for the reply.

A month ago I got a tons of errors after having updated curl, so  I downgraded curl and added it to IgnorePkg. Do you think it is a curl related error?

Re: [SOLVED] Using pacman gives error "error: segmentation fault"

Thank you for the help.

I removed curl from the IgnorePKG and installed the new package manually, now everything works fine again.

Have a good day smile

Okay, 1) Don't necrobump and 2) ask on the forums for your distro.

Closing.
