TouchPad sample rate: can be changed?

Dear all, I'd like to know if it is possible at all to change the Sample Rate at which a TouchPad works. In my case, on my Asus UX303LB I have a FocalTech PS/2 TouchPad that runs at 66Hz (very low for me). I have used many X11 configurations like "SampleRate" but nothing changed. Also, as I use the Synaptics driver, I have tested every Synaptics parameter related to movement speed, acceleration, etc. but still the touchpad is performance is horrible, for example, when I move my finger in circles, the pointer will move in squares... the resolution is very bad.

I think I could solve this by setting a higher sample rate but I can't find a way to do it, I already googled for hours...
