Hello,
I have installed postgresql, pgadmin3 and postgis from arch packages.
I need "shp2pgsql-gui" so as to add a plugin in pgadmin3. However, from postgis package, I only got the command-line version (shp2pgsql). [In Fedora, postgis package had shp2pgsql-gui]
From where can I get the gui version? (shp2pgsql-gui)
While searching, I came across opengeo suite. I read it does contain shp2pgsql-gui, but it's really a heavy suite, and I don't think I'd need the entire suite - also installing the entire suite for shp2pgsql-gui doesn't make sense.
From where can I obtain shp2pgsql-gui in arch? Most of the guides I found are for Ubuntu (apt) or rpm-based distros.

You need to rebuild postgis with the --with-gui flag set in the PKGBUILD to produce the shp2pgsql-gui binary.
As well as adding the flag you may need to add additional dependencies to the PKGBUILD, read the PostGIS documentation to make sure.

Thanks a lot. Building postgis-src solved the issue.
