Hi Packagebuilders..
I have now during my education been giving an assigment. To test the different choices of Opensource groupware..
I have found that the 2 best kinds of those:
Scalix & Zimbra !!
Kolab also - but not that far in the develoment of the projekt.
But the firms always want to use either Red Hat or Suse??
My hope is that some one could help me build af package of these projekts.. Specieally becaurse I´m not into building packages from scratch - But I´d rather use Arch than the others...
So hopefully some one is willing to help...

THanks anyway for Arch

Hi, how is your evaluation going?
Have you tried Enterprise Groupware System?
A thread is available - http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=21926
Let us know how you go.

Jup - good thing that you remind me about this thread!
my evaluation is done - the winner is .................Zimbra!
Its a really really great fast groupware server based on OpenSource with a really fast interface.
It can be downloaded in a free edition (with limited superusers = access from windows) but I did have really great problems by installing it on Arch - makes a lot of errors during the install.. So to get it done in time to the examination - I did it on a red hat instead !!!
The company I was visiting is now using zimbra and are really satifished over it. And installing this at all their customers! So that's really a good system!
Kolab is unfortuable not far enough in their develoment of groupware - but beware of the name - when its working - its gonna be great!!
Scalix is also working really great - but have some issues! Their mailformat is homemade and not kompatible with standarts - and the worst - its build upon popup windows all the time - but still - it also works great in speed and everything else!
And the final part - I got 9 for the exam!!
