[SOLVED] Swap caps and escape: dconf and setxkbmap not working

Hi,

I have Gnome, XFCE and Awesome window manager installed. Through gnome-tweak-tool, I've made the functionality of caps lock key and escape key exchanged. But these settings are not talking effect with XFCE (Using awesome WM instead of xfwm4)

[aj@aura-arch]: ~>$ dconf read /org/gnome/desktop/input-sources/xkb-options 
['caps:swapescape']

[aj@aura-arch]: ~>$ setxkbmap -query
rules:      evdev
model:      pc105
layout:     us
options:    caps:swapescape

Yet I see no change. I did try rebooting. What could be preventing it from working ?

I just realized I had caps2esc running in the background which was possibly reswapping them effectively defeating the purpose of swapping.
