The wmii web site has a few nice pages for 'code snippets' and 'color schemes'. Also see this wmiirc script if you happen to be more comfortable with Ruby than shell.

Wmii can be configured in any language.

Bash:

echo "blah" | wmiir write $file

Ruby:

IO.popen("wmiir write #{file}", "w"){|io| io.print contents.to_s }

Python:

os.popen("wmiir write /bar/status/data")

Perl: A little bit harder. http://www.elehack.net/projects/wmii-perl/files/

you get the idea.

Re: June 2006 screenshots

Very nice codemac, You prove that mine is nothing lol...
Here's the latest one, the color of the bar/window borders needs more work, I like VIM colors though

13890_22_06_2006.th.png

and as you can see i stole your battery applet :oops: yet I don't know about mpd coz all my music are on the server mounted via NFS i don't know if i can run mpd their and control it from here it would be cool

BTW every single file of my configs are here -> http://wael.nasreddine.com/files/config/ they are updated each 10 minutes from my SVN, and i always commit every change i make to any of the files smile If you find something bad in some of the configs tell me wink big_smile
