[SOLVED] Xorg detects NVIDIA only sometimes

Hi guys,

I have some troubles on my new Archlinux installation that I did yesterday. I didn't have Linux installed in a couple of years now - but I wanted to go back, however a lot has been changed in these years and I need some help debugging.

I have a fairly modern PC (see lspci output), and I'm booting with UEFI originally from Clover, then switched to Grub because I thought that might be the issue. The main problem I'm having right now, is that my NVIDIA card is only detected from time to time. Sometimes it gets everything right and boots straight into full HD, most of the time I'm left with some VESA fallback:

Xorg.0.log when it doesn't work: https://filebin.ca/3QlXItAQuwfi
DMESG when it doesn't work: https://filebin.ca/3QlZSCpNyVJT

lspci Output:

Other than that there are also other issues:
* GRUB won't accept my keyboard, at least not until I boot into Clover again, after which the keyboard works for one boot (even a cold restart)
* Archlinux almost never shuts down completely / never reboots and always hangs forever at the reboot target.

I think all of this is somewhat UEFI related, and I have to admit I'm quite a noob in this area. The issue is, that I can't switch back to BIOS mode because I need UEFI for booting into Hackintosh (which I sometimes need to compile iOS apps :-/).

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Haa ... as it stands - I think I solved it. Yeah I know, created a thread and 15 minutes later solved. Trust me, I have fought this an entire day, but just now tried out nvidia-beta and enabled nvidia modesetting. So far, boots into full HD every time and Cinnamon is not complaining about Software rendering either. Still GRUB and Reboot issues remain, hints are welcome!!
