Is the Mirror Status page broken?

I think that Mirror Status page is broken—it shows mirrors as synced (0:00 delay) while they are not. For example, https://mirror.vfn-nrw.de/archlinux/ is at the top right now for me, with that 0:00 delay, and yet its packages are older than main. For example, youtube-dl has version 2017.06.23-1, while it should be 2017.06.25-1, which means it is at least 24h out of sync.

And that was just the example, all packages that I’ve tried, both from Community and from Extra, are older than they should be. It’s not just that mirror either, https://archlinux.prometeolibero.eu/arc … os/x86_64/ has the same problem.

(for continuation of the ML thread you also need to check february archive)

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

Re: Is the Mirror Status page broken?

Thanks for the link, but that’s not exactly the same problem—it was about mirror score being misleading, but now the delay is. It looks like some servers are pretending to be syncing (the connection is made and sync status is OK) without actually doing so and Mirror Status doesn’t catch that.
