[SOLVED] skypeforlinux: no notification

hi,
i have installed skyforlinux-bin but when I receive a new message it doesn't show the notification at the bottom right of the screen like skype4.3. why?
on settings there isn't notification options.

i use a system with only openbox+lxpanel

Maybe because skyforlinux-bin is just a wrapper for a web browser displaying skype for web. If you look in the skype forums you will see lots of people complaining about assorted problems and the lack of feature parity with the native skype 4.3 client.

Maybe you are missing some optional dependency but expect to find things that don't work or missing features altogether.

You have to install and autostart a notification daemon:

thanks, i have SOLVED: i have installed lxqt-notificationd and autostart it.
