getting mplayer-plugin to work with opera 9

according to
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/to … ?id=131761

mplayer-plugin needs to be compiled with --enable-x so it works with opera9. i hope the maintainer updates the package in the repos! smile

Re: getting mplayer-plugin to work with opera 9

i tried to compile mplayer-plugin from ABS, with --enable-x option, but i get this:

well, seems not to work, dont know if its a buggy opera. opera displays nothing, and firefox crashes, with my newly compiled mplayer-plugin.

Maybe my old and unmaintained PKGBUILD will work.

It has been told few times already. Opera doesn't like mplayer-plugin compiled against xulrunner. I found a binary compiled against gecko-sdk somewhere on the opera forum and this one worked fine.

i found that binary here:
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/fi … id=1512034

and it works. thanks
