Bitmapped font scaling in openbox [SOLVED]

Changing the font size on openbox doesn't seem to have any effect. The window bar does get larger as if the font was scaled but it stays the same size. Only happens with bitmapped fonts. Is openbox unable to scale them at all? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Bitmapped font scaling in openbox [SOLVED]

This is a "fontconfig" setting. You need to configure this in /etc/fonts/conf.d/. Do "ls -l" in that location and you'll see what's going on in there. There's a file that enables scaling of bitmap fonts in ../conf.avail. You can guess which one it is through its file-name. Link to it from within conf.d.

I forgot to mention, this is an openbox specific issue, bitmap fonts scale fine everywhere else. The file mentioned is already linked, for the record.

Can someone check if it doesn't work just for me, please?

Re: Bitmapped font scaling in openbox [SOLVED]

I couldn't get the fonts to scale in anyway on openbox, conky and a few other applications, so I just went with bitmap2ttf, which worked like a charm. Marking as solved.
