System hangs on boot at "Starting Flush Journal to persisten"

When I am booting into arch, occasionally the system hangs. Each time I have to force shutdown the PC and re start. When I login, the last 20 lines of the journalctl of the failed boot are as follows:

Re: System hangs on boot at "Starting Flush Journal to persisten"

Hi,

I have the same issue with my XPS 9360. Also it fails to wake up from suspend from time to time. I believe the nature of these two issues is the same.
Did you manage to solve the issue?

Thanks.

Re: System hangs on boot at "Starting Flush Journal to persisten"

For now it seems it is solved. I tried the following: Intel Graphics: skylake support

I added

i915.enable_rc6=0

as a kernal parameter, and the problem seems to be solved for now. I hadn't rebooted enough times to say for sure. If this changes, I will post here.
