Hi.
After some update there is no sound when playing youtube in firefox but sound is working.
For example firefox plugin Nagios Checker plays sound and other pages does.
When I start FF in terminal it prints:
me.pt[i]: down me.soundBT[down]:true me.results[down][1]:2 me.results[down][2]:0
me.pt[i]: unreachable me.soundBT[unreachable]:true me.results[unreachable][1]:0 me.results[unreachable][2]:0
me.pt[i]: unknown me.soundBT[unknown]:true me.results[unknown][1]:0 me.results[unknown][2]:0
me.pt[i]: warning me.soundBT[warning]:true me.results[warning][1]:1 me.results[warning][2]:0
me.pt[i]: critical me.soundBT[critical]:true me.results[critical][1]:1 me.results[critical][2]:0
How can I figure out why there is no sound in Youtube and how to repair back my FF ?

ps aux | grep pulse
Firefox hard-depends on pulseaudio now. You can though use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/apulse/

This is very strange dependence. I have no pulseaudio but I'll try.

Pacman's output is worth paying attention to:
(1/1) installing firefox [-------------------------------------------------] 100%
Optional dependencies for firefox
networkmanager: Location detection via available WiFi networks
libnotify: Notification integration [installed]
pulseaudio: Audio support

After installing pulseaudion sound works in FF but I had to reboot after installing pulseaudio -- systemctl start pulseaudio did not work.

Because you started it in the system session instead of the user session
