Ryzen temperature

Currently I am not able to get any temperature info about the cpu (and the motherboard in general)

the tests included here were not useful https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=225370

Re: Ryzen temperature

Also read the comments for the Phoronix article. Installing the it87 driver could work.
There is even an AUR package for it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/it87-dkms-git/

Installing the it87-dkms-git driver from AUR worked just fine on my prime x370. I have fan speed and temps showing up on conky. Lm_sensors is picking up everything, including voltages.

Re: Ryzen temperature

is it an X370-PRO ? I can get results, but they are completely wrong values (e.g. max temperature lower than min, or negative values)

Re: Ryzen temperature

I have a Ryzen 5 1600 on an MSI B350 Tomahawk. I installed the "nct6775-dkms-git" package from the AUR and loaded it with "modprobe nct6775". Now when I run "sensors" I get this output:

Ahhh.... I see what you're saying. Min/Max and Alarm are all screwed up, yes, but the actual readings for cpu temp (temp1) and cpu fan (fan1) are spot on. The arch wiki page for lm_sensors tells you how to adjust (change offsets) everything. BTW, yes, our chipset is the it866-something-something-something.... So the it87 driver will work. And may become more accurate as bios firmware gets fixed for the ryzen (we just got the AMD Agesa 1.0.0.6a for virtualization).

The Asus Prime X370 family of Ryzen boards use an ITE LPC chips (it87) and MSI is using the Nuvoton chips (ntc6775)
