[Solved] rubyripper can't find ruby-gtk2 optional dependency

I typically run rubyripper from rofi however it now refuses to open. I
tried starting the program in a terminal window and got this output:
"The ruby-gtk2 library could not be found. Is it installed?".

This seems to reoccur every time the "ruby-gtk2" package gets a new
version. I tried to run "rrip_gui" on another Arch Linux machine and got
the exact same error.

I checked that the "ruby-gtk2" optional dependency was fulfilled with
"pacman -Qi rubyripper" and it did seem to be installed. I also found
two older reports on the Arch Linux forum:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=56634
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=160436

There is no rubyripper AUR package anymore to try out so the first forum
post seems to be of little use. I tried out the ABS solution on the
second forum post to compile rubyripper against the latest version of
ruby-gtk2, however, I'm still getting "The ruby-gtk2 library could not
be found. Is it installed?" when I try and run "rrip_gui" in terminal.

Output of "pacman -Q rubyripper":
"rubyripper 0.6.2-10"

Output of "pacman -Q ruby-gtk2":
"ruby-gtk2 3.1.6-1".

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Works fine here. Is your system completely up-to-date? Do you get any other messages when running "rrip_gui", if so, please post the full output.

Please also post the output of

which rrip_gui
pacman -Qkk ruby-gtk2 rubyripper
pacman -Qs ruby

Sorry for no reply (I was away from any WiFi spot and had no mobile data). Everything seems to be working now that the missing dependencies have been fixed.
