pacman sort mirrors by success rates

the wiki page on pacman mirrors shows how to sort mirrors by connection speed.

but is it possible to sort mirrors by success rates? i notice some mirrors return less 404s than others. is there any automated way to recognize this and keep the mirrorlist updated?

404s generally don't mean a problem with the mirror, they mean you need to update the system.

You may like to look at a program called 'reflector'. It can be used to generate mirrorlists based on certain criteria. I really like it, for what it's worth.
