Update broke messenger client & gdesklets <SOLVED>

Hi to the board

I just done a pacman -Syu and now my messenger client (mercury) fails to start.  I tried reinstalling and here's the error:

{links removed as expired}

Anyone advise, please?

edit - im using the beyond kernel.

EDIT - Yeah, glibc the problem with Mercury.  This from the AUR site:

Mercury will not function with Glibc2.4

Gdesklets now workin' fine - the mirrors must of not been fully synced when I syu'd.  Thanks again.

Re: Update broke messenger client & gdesklets <SOLVED>

The problem with mercury is about your glibc version. Arch now provide glibc-2.4 and your messenger (in java?) need a 2.3 or lesser.
I don't know how mercury work, but i think it provides its own JRE no ?
So try to launch it with sun Jre (install it  with pacman -Sy j2re).

The program isn't debugged until the last user is dead.

Thanks for the reply.

I installed mercury (before the upgrade broke it) when I already had j2re installed.  However, I will try and reinstall the version without JVM but at present the site is down.

I will keep you posted,

edit - gdesklets working.  Installed some more packages via pacman -Syu, mirrors must of not been fully sync'd.
