Desktop momentarily unlocked after resuming from suspend

Hi all, I have this problem where if I suspend my laptop for a while and resume, the DESKTOP momentariy SHOWS what I've been workin on before it locks!! This is a huuuge security issue.

I have a relatively fresh install of arch linux.

1.) Encrypted using ecryptfs
2.) Using TLP and Powertop (at the same time)
3.) Running Gnome via wayland
4.) Don't have a swap partition because I almost NEVER use it

I have a feeling that when the laptop is suspended, that the computer suspends BEFORE desktop gets locked. Hence it locks the desktop as soon as it wakes up when I open the lid. Should the order of events be swapped somewhere? (first lock then suspend?)

I've seen people complain about this issue on other forums such as redhat and ubuntu forums, but failed to find a solution! Any help or info is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Here is a thread with the issue being talked about on the fedora bug thread:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=713640

A possible solution found in the thread by user Francois Rigault and Maciek Borzecki is as follows:

edit file  /etc/systemd/logind.conf and set

InhibitDelayMaxSec=30

This is supposed to give gnome enough time to lock the screen before it suspends the system. However this solution does not work for me.

A bug report on gnome bugzilla suggests its an upstream GNOME bug:
