symptoms:
NM-applet showing exclamation point (!) a short time after starting PLASMA without having connectivity problems (wifi).
Although i'm experiencing one issue with a webcut widget: as long as the exclamation mark didn't show up i can click on the webcut widget and the page is opened in my webbrowser.
After the exclamation point appeared the URI is not forwarded anymore: socket operation timed out
what i did:
Journalctl doesn't show errors related to NM or nm-applet but it displays:

maybe KIO/ Krun is the culprit??
# systemctl start NetworkManager.service
does solve it only for a short while, also disconnect and reconnect to the wlan network.
I need some help in finding a cure for what's going on. Is there another way to debug what the exclamation point stands for?

You on a wrong tangent, something is wrong with your connection, this has nothing to do with KDE at that point. Post a
dmesg
systemctl status NetworkManager

V1del thanks for answering
since complete dmesg output is quite long you'll find it here: https://pastebin.com/0XJSv5uW

EDIT: What i did just now: disabled 802.11n and enabled software encryption according to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wi … on#iwlwifi.
Seems to result in a much better connectivity also the warning sign in nm-applet didn't reappear til now and clicking the webcut widget the URI is forwarded successfully -- for the time being;)
dmesg output at least without "Microcode SW error".
But shortly after that the exclamation point returned , but connection is (still) good but URI links are still not forwarded!
dmesg says (in extracts):
iwlwifi 0000:02:00.0:No association and the time event is over already...
wlp2s0: Connection to AP 5c:49:79:00:d8:86 lost
wlp2s0: aborting authentication with 5c:49:79:00:d8:86 by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING)
According to https://www.utdallas.edu/~neerajm/publi … ttacks.pdf the deauthentication/disassociation may have something to do with a Denial of Service= DoS attack
So my routers log tells me (frequently):
DoS (Denial of Service) attack SYN Flood got discovered
A connection to the internet via another router does not produce the error.
I reseted my router and reconfigured it basically and -what i forgot to mention before: when i amplify the signal with a (fritz)repeater as i have to due to weak signal/ long distance the exclamation point returned.
Any advice? What did i miss? hardware, maybe the repeater?
