System broken after crashing during upgrade

As the title says, my computer crashed during upgrade, and is now partly broken and misbehaving in strange ways. First off, I can't do a system upgrade at all now. Secondly, during boot, I get:

Failed to start Load Kernel Modules

Besides that, Cinnamon suddenly stopped working properly, Chromium won't start, and even my display manager isn't working properly.

Would anyone care to help get me out of this mess?

Re: System broken after crashing during upgrade

I've been using Arch for 4 years now, but if it's a newbie question, I guess that's fine. I'll try mounting it, hopefully won't have to fix too many packages manually, or is that common having to do?

Re: System broken after crashing during upgrade

Can you get to a console using Ctrl-Alt-F2 ?  If so, a simple pacman -Syu might fix things.  Otherwise, try a chroot
