Got a new laptop yesterday which had only DOS installed
Loaded from arch iso into UEFI (checked the folder as per install guide). Deleted all partitions, created 1 UEFI and 3 ext4 partitions. Successfully finished install guide and after rebooting got the message: "checking media"
Googled here, googled there, watched youtube, tried all I could find.
Boot legacy support is on. Boot priority - legacy first. Secure boot disabled. Boot order: cd (nothing in there), sdd, network.
Please...

Is the error message from within Arch, or your EFI/BIOS (sounds like the latter)?
Can you post a picture of the error?

It is a boot message.
There is nothing else but "Checking media" text after which it goes into reboot. You can see the message here at 10 sec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVirlpr4leM
arch iso from usb loads just fine

I possess a device, in my pocket, that is capable of accessing the entirety of information known to man.
I use it to look at funny pictures of cats and to argue with strangers.
