High CPU load in plasmashell

Hello everybody,

I have the following problem.
plasmashell, kwin_x11, Xorg and some kworkers are consuming around 80% of each of mine 4 cores in Dell XPS 13 which leads to extreme heating and battery consumption.

The problem seems to go when I stop plasmashell and rm -rf ~/.config/plasma* and start again. But then it comes again. I have a feeling that it is somehow connected with switching the docking stations and/or monitors.

Any help would be appreciated.
