I have two problems with the Qt Creator and I don't know if they are related.
1.
The Creator doesn't find the C++ standard library. It compiles, because the compiler knows where to find it, but the auto completion doesn't work.
2.
The Creator has problems with encoding in its output. The error messages from the compiler contains special characters (like ' ) and the Creator only shows a questionsmark instead of it. (with the bad effekt, that it cann't parse the messages for it Issue tab).
Both effects aren't reproducible in a new installed arch linux.
PS: A possible reason for this problem is that I try tried to crosscompile Qt last week. There could something gone wrong.

1. Do you use CMake or qmake project? If you use CMake, the auto-completion might use the wrong target. Eg. in my project it is often set to the target for generating documentation and setting it manually to the target for the library/application helps.
2. But any other occurrences of non-ASCII characters are treated correctly?
Cross compiling Qt should not cause such problems (in general). I usually cross compile Qt for Windows and I'm currently trying to cross compile it for MacOSX. Adding those instances of Qt as kit in Qt Creator does not cause any trouble here. How did you cross compile Qt (build script/PKGBUILD)?

I use qmake, but both errors ocure also in a cmake project.
No, it seems that all non-ASCII char are wrong.
I compile Qt on my own with the tutorial for Raspberry Crosscompiling.
