mpd and ncmpcpp tag editor problems

I am currently running a music player setup as seen in the title. Whenever I attempt to edit any tags on a music file, it simply says that is has a problem reading the file, and will not let me edit the tags. I read in another post about permissions problems and config problems. I'm definitely not seeing any config files in .ncmpcpp, just a .log file. I have no idea the permissions, or which user that this process is running under. This is driving me batty...

Re: mpd and ncmpcpp tag editor problems

the best option is to use eyeD3 or something similar, I've had problems with the tag editor in ncmpcpp scrambling the metadata completely

Re: mpd and ncmpcpp tag editor problems

Example config file for ncmpcpp is provided at /usr/share/doc/ncmpcpp/config, copy that to .ncmpcpp/config and uncheck "mpd_music_dir = " option in .ncmpcpp/config and provide path to your music directory there, it is required for tag editor to work.
You can always check for all included files of any installed application using pacman -Ql.
