I have an HP printer on a Win 2000 pc on my home network. I set up my test box with Arch (Noodle) a few months ago and had the printer up and running with little heartburn through the KDE printer setup wizard. I've now installed Arch on my regular desktop box (cause I love it ). I'm triple booting with Win 2000 and Kubuntu, but I don't think that matters. When I first bring up the KDE Control Module printer screen, It gives me the error message
Unable to retrieve the printer list. Error message received from manager:
Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running. Error: host not found.
When I run through the wizard, I get an error message
Unable to create printer. Error message received from manager:
client-error-bad-request
I did the setup from the Wiki/Documentation for a manual CUPS setup. It indicated a successful setup, but when I try to print, I get the same error message as the first one indicated above.
I have CUPS and hplip installed. Any ideas?

Bingo! Thanks, Vacant. Is this documented anywhere?
One small note, Kprinter won't run; kprinter will.
Thanks, again,
